Scotland County

In March 2007 we went to Scotland County. The County seat is Laurinburg and we were down there for a Hurricane Region Porsche Autocross. From their website http://www.scotlandcounty.org/
"known for its Scottish heritage and strong industrial base, Scotland County is home to St. Andrews Presbyterian College,Scotia Village Retirement Community, the annual fall historical John Blue Cotton Festival and a nationally recognized Lumber River canoe trail". Personally, it seemed very quiet to me but they did have an interesting Confederate Monument in front of the Courthouse:

I tend to forget that I'm in the South sometimes.
